Not necessarily. Many international services operating in Japan offer cash transfers to Russia, so you can send money without a bank account. However, if you’re using online banking or bank-to-bank transfer from Japan to Russia, an account will be required.
How long will it take for the money to reach the recipient?
The processing time depends on the chosen service and delivery method.
Transfers through international money transfer systems (MoneyGram, Ria Money Transfer, Western Union) are usually credited within minutes.
SWIFT bank transfers may take 1 to 3 business days.
Can I cancel a money transfer from Japan to Russia after it's sent?
Yes, in most cases, you can cancel a money transfer from Japan to Russia if the funds haven't yet been received in Russia. To do so, contact the provider's support team in Japan or use their app/website. Keep in mind that some services may charge a cancellation fee for transfers between Japan and Russia.
